Writing Narative

Sleeping Beauty

There was one a king and a queen, who had no children. At last, the Queen gave birth to daughter. The King gave a big feast so that every once could give her a gift. Seven fairies in the kingdom were invited. An old fairy who was not invited came. She was very angry.

One young fairy hid behind the curtain to see what would happen. All the fairy began to give their gifts to the Princess. It came to the old Fairy’s turn. She said that the Princess would pierce her hand with a needle and die of the wound. Everybody began crying when they heard that.

Then, the young Fairy came out from behind the curtains and spoke loudly, “ I have no power to change what the old Fairy has done. But the Princess will not die. She shall fall into a deep sleep for a hundred years “.

One day the princess went into the sewing room. She saw an old women sewing. She took the needle from the old woman. The moment she touched the needle. It pricked her and she fell into a deep sleep. The king hearing what had happened, commanded that they should let her sleep quietly. They left the castle and a forest grew around it.

One day, a price from the neighbouring kingdom was hunting in the forest. During the hunt, he got lost from his friends. So he just wandered about. Suddenly he came across a huge castle all overgrown with creepers and plants. He went in and everything was damp. He walked up the staircase opening every door. In one room, he saw a large bed one which lay sleeping, the most beautiful girl the Prince had ever seen. He knelt down and immediately the sleeping beauty opened her eyes and saw the Prince. She became his Princess and they lived happily ever after.
